Idea: We have alot of fledgling stand up people in our fan base...Could we set up a PA and have a comedy show? People could try out material....If we do it at the end, people should be nice and receptive.

A PA would be helpful for anouncements too... I got sick of screaming direction last year.,

Who has a PA setup? Woodfloor?

There are no electrical outlets nearby for amps or anything like that.

As for a comedy show at the park, we're all riddled with A.D.D. - do you honestly think anyone's going to sit still long enough for anyone to do even a 5-minute set?

I will scout around for a megaphone so you don't have to shout this year. Worse case scenario, we'll just use spandyman again

Yeah and I don't know that these drunks will sit for too long for a show.
This is a day for partying and just hanging out. I don't expect people
to be "on" for the day. It's just cool to even have them there.

1) Never had any fights. These have always been great, peaceful outings.

the golfers were very nice, Glenn & didn't bother us at all. They even asked if the kids could use the water faucet in our area to fill water balloons, which they didn't have to do. Yup, imagine that - civilized golfers!! And they didn't have a band...just some loud music which might have included some rap, but wasn't that bad.

As soon as there's a break in the weather, I'll run over to the park & see if there's an outlet by the bathroom. If there is, it's going to require an extremely long extension cord. I don't see the necessity, but hey, I'm not running this thing.

okay, back to bed. I hate being this illin'

Drew and I just booked our room at the Whitman, thank you so much for the discounted price, Mr. President. It's an expensive year for us so this reduced price is helping alot. Plus it gives us the opportunity to hang out later with everyone and not worry about driving back and forth, catching trains, etc.

yes, while the sand negro was facing east toward mecca, Tax moved his shoes from one table to another. Fortunately, the man did not declare a fatwa & bring the wrath of his allah down upon us.

If you recall, none of the groups around us last year (and there were quite a few) didn't bother with us either, nor we with them. People are there to have fun with their respective groups & aren't going around looking for trouble

The sad part is I was a very good baseball player all thru lil league and high school. not a superstar but always one of the better guys out there. at that time i hadn't swung a bat in 3 years. didn't you hear my wife say what the hell was that? when i k'd and dinked a grounder,but i do recall my last hit was a ripped double down the line.
